Paul Chaney, known to many as “The Social Media Handyman,” is an Internet marketing consultant, popular speaker, trainer. He provides Internet marketing, social media consulting and training services to small and medium businesses, advertising agencies and non-profit organizations. Paul’s expertise lies in effectively combining the conversational marketing aspects of social media with conversion mechanisms that are fully aligned with business objectives. He is a knowledgeable, accomplished, articulate speaker who covers a number of topics related to Internet marketing, social media and business blogging.

Paul is a social media marketing consultant, speaker, trainer and author of two books on the topic: The Digital Handshake: Seven Proven Strategies to Grow Your Business Using Social Media, published by Wiley, and Realty Blogging: Build Your Brand and Outsmart Your Competition, published by McGraw-Hill.

Paul was co-founder of Blogging Systems, a blog software company that significantly impacted the real estate industry by encouraging Realtors to adopt blogging as a marketing strategy.

Paul sits on the board of advisors for the Women’s Wisdom Network, the Social Media Marketing Institute, and SmartBrief on Social Media. He is also a contributing editor for Practical Ecommerce magazine on the use of social media for marketing and, more recently, became Associate Editor at Social Commerce Today.

Paul leads numerous social media workshops around the country, and holds the distinction of leading the very first business blogging seminar ever to be held in Asia. Paul recently traveled to Ukraine at the invitation of the U.S. Department of Commerce to do a series of workshops for Ukrainian business people.

Paul is a Technical Editor for both Pearson and Wiley publishing and has worked on most of the For Dummies series books related to blogs and Internet marketing that have been published since 2005.

He has spoken to groups as small as a dozen to as large as several hundred and to a wide range of audiences including small business owners, real estate agents and brokers, healthcare professionals, public relations, attorneys, and marketing and advertising executives.

Paul has presented to groups locally, nationally and around the globe, being chosen as one of two people to present the first business blogging conference ever held in Asia. In 2011, Paul traveled to Ukraine at the request of the U.S. Department of Commerce to introduce social media to Ukrainian businesspeople.
