Andrew F. Ortiz, president and CEO of Ortiz Leadership Systems, LLC, is a dynamic leadership trainer, motivational speaker, and organizational development consultant based in Tempe, Arizona. A native Arizonan and triple-degreed graduate of Arizona State University—holding a B.A. in Political Science (1992), a Juris Doctor (1998), and an M.P.A. (1999)—he made history as the first law student elected Student Body President at ASU, one of the largest universities in the U.S.
During his collegiate years, Andrew became a decorated leader and advocate. He held executive roles in student government, Hispanic and political organizations, and received numerous honors—including an NAACP Image Award, a National Hispanic Scholarship Fund award, and induction into national honor societies. He co-founded Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, launched youth mentorship programs, and emerged as a nationally recognized student leader.
After graduation, Andrew built a distinguished career across public service, nonprofit leadership, and higher education. He served roles such as Executive Director of the Arizona Community Action Association, Legislative Attaché to the state House Minority Leader, and led statewide initiatives for the American Cancer Society’s tobacco policy campaigns. His public leadership also spans nonprofit governance, congressional awards foundations, and statewide youth development.
In 2008, Ortiz was selected by the U.S. Jaycees as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Americans, and he has received recognition from President George H. W. Bush (“Point of Light”), professional associations, and academic institutions—including awards from the American Biographical Institute and induction into ASU’s Hall of Fame.
Today, he leads Ortiz Leadership Systems, offering executive coaching, keynote speaking, leadership development, facilitation, and consulting services. His global clients include nonprofits, corporate boards, educational institutions, and civic associations.
